glued some carpet in the cradle of the trailer

This morning we glued some carpet in the cradle of the trailer to give the boat a soft ride. The last days I spend the most of the time on the electric what is now almost finished. I only have to do some things on the main breakers but I had to wait on some parts that I did order, I think it only cost me one day to finish it.We had also some social parts to do so we had not all the time for Thriller and it was very hot to.

light progress

Last Friday my friend Rob did come to assist me with making decisions how to rout the cables and drilling the holes thru some panels. In the holes I clued some glass fiber tubes to seal the foam. On the end of the day Fetske did paint the navigation light bases. Saturday and Sunday we did sail with Thrill Seeker and on the end of Sunday I mounted the navigation lights and started with some wiring and some other lights. The outboard motor lock is made but must be bolted in place. The trailer drain holes were glued in place so that the carpet can be glued in the cradle. Next week we have our holly day what will be partially sailing and building. The planning is to get the main hull out of the shed so the floats can be finished in it.

Wadden weekend

This weekend we went to the Waddenzee with some boats of the CTC. We did have a BBQ on Vlieland on low tide. We were very lucky with the wetter.
I did not do much on Thriller but Fetske did paint the upper side of the cradle last week and I bold it to the trailer. I only want to make two drain holes and then the carpet can be clued on it.

Painted the underside of the cradle

I had to work yesterday evening so I compensated a bit in the afternoon so I could paint the underside of the cradle. We can then turn it tomorrow and bold it to the frame so that Fetske can paint the topside Wednesday. We can put up the pace and compensate of our lost time in the weekends we did sail. 😎

Working on the trailer again

We did some sailing this weekend with Thrill Seeker and before and after I did some work on the trailer. I had to drill all the holes in the cradle to bold it to the frame, the holes were filled with epoxy to seal the wood from becoming wet. I also made some extra points were the cradle rest on the frame.  This week Fetske is going to do some painting of the cradle and it than can be bolted to the frame.

assembled the rudder parts

I took a hour off to assemble the rudder parts and buy some cable ducts. I had to buy some new ducts because I mounted them upside down 😢 and had to rip them out.
