This week my sail maker Arjen Kooij made a new screacher for me. Last weekend we both a Sailrite sewing machine to make our lazy bag and a bag for the furling jib. Tonight we installed the lazy bag and it looks very good, I also made a holder for my speed puk. The Colligo ELHF is now also working after we altered the design a little with John, so I don't have to pull the sail down after sailing

Wadden weekend
Last weekend we went to the Wadden islands with a group of multi-hulls and put the boat on the ground at low tide.
On the way back to our harbor we did clock a max speed of 17 kn on the GPS, in the beginning it was a bit scary but after a while I got used to the speed. The self tacking jib is working perfect and the boat is very well balanced, I can steer it in the wind to a halt and by just turning the helm it turns and gets up to speed very quick.

Some sail photo's
Friday and Saturday we did some sailing, there was not much wind so it was nice weather to tryout the reef lines. So they are now ready for use. Saturday my friend Rob did shoot some photo's from his ship. We are still busy with trying tings out, our cool-box is working to good and I have to do some thing on the thermostat because if we place it on the lows stand it still freezes inside. If you like ice beer than it is no problem 😉.

Jib almost ready
My sail maker almost finished the jib. The material did just arrive on Monday short after I left the door. He started directly with making the then jib and today it is almost finished. He did make very long days till deep in the night. Friday we put the clew board in place. Tonight I cut the clew board out of a plate of carbon what I made for this and finished it with a clear coat epoxy. The clamp for the mast foot to lower the mast is now finished to.

putting the cushions in place
Saturday we took some cushions to the boat and today I did take the mattress to the boat. I also installed the foils on its place so that the back is lighter. The boat is now more level on its water line.
In the morning I went to my sail maker to design the jib, now this can be made to as the cloth arrives.
